Measure of a Life

Caution! Combining challenges is very satisfying!!! I have been in heaven this week – we have had tremendously warm weather in southern Ontario this week and we are going to have a great weekend too (today it rained, thank goodness – our garden and grass is parched). I’ve had a great stamping week too, getting a bunch of cards done and participating in a ton of challenges. Yippee! I even made a card on the SAME day as the Vive la Verve July Week #2 challenge was posted! Ok, I know I am going a little nuts over little things, but my life is sheltered, so throw me a bone! This card also qualifies for the Little Red Wagon Challenge #36 to use Nestabilities.

This week we had 3 bathroom inspiration photos to choose from. I had fully planned to use a different shower curtain (the black and white one), but I couldn’t find the right patterned paper to use and I didn’t feel like making my own, so I chose the first photo with a quilt-like blue pattern variety. The sketch is so versatile – it can be used with many different patterns, images, sentiments, nesties, ribbon, embellishments, etc. (did I cover everything?). Here is the card recipe:

Card Stock – Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla (SU)
DSP – Bella Bleu (retired SU)
Stamp Set – Verve (Beautiful You)
Ink – Momento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz (Ranger) Distress Ink in Weathered Wood
Accessories – Blue Organza ribbon, Bow Easy, Nestabilities, pale blue self-adhesive half pearls, sponge dauber, dimensionals

Thanks for having a look today. Enjoy your weekend!
